IPPhone Lib

IPPhone Lib is a PHP API for Cisco IP Phones.

My school district recently opened a new elementary school. They decided to install Cisco IP Phones instead of regular POTS lines. Since I'm a long-time PHP developer, I jumped on the chance to start writing applications for these neat little phones.

I quickly realized

  1. Cisco's XML DTD isn't valid XML
  2. There aren't many examples/applications on the web
So I began working on an API for the XML language used by the phones.

In a nutshell, IPPhone Lib is simple to use. With it, you can easily format your content so you can focus more of your time on building cool applications for the phones!
